Oh wow. We were just at our first A&M game yesterday, and they had an amazing game. I couldn't believe the number of millions of dollars involved in their football program. Their football budget alone is more than some entire school districts. Last year, they raised $146,000,000 in donations for the football program. It was the first time I've ever seen a jet flyover as the team unloaded from the busses.

Aggie alumni (or as noted on the "official bumper sticker, the Association of Former Students") are a big financial benefit to A&M. Maybe there's enough in the "war chest" to buy out Jimbo's contract...


I know of a former student who dropped out due to what he said was "a harder college workload" than he expected. His parents told me that he spent too much time partying there while he was attending. I joked that he wouldn't 'qualify' as a "Former Student" unless he could show A&M that he could do the work....with a Bachelor's degree from a higher ranked University...

How much tuition for kids could that fund? But then they wouldn't have to get loans for Biteme to pretend that he can forgive in order to buy votes.

The WBAP Morning Show went down the list of Aggie head coaches earlier this week, between R.C. Slocum and Jimbo. Pretty good number of them, including Dennis Franchione. Think A&M has larger number over the time period, than the Jerry Jones era Dallas Cowboys. (I could be wrong...)
