When to spay a mother cat

I would like to know how soon I can have my cat spade after she weans her kittens. When I took her in, she came with extra baggage.

I adopted my cat after her kittens were about 6 weeks old. They were able to spade her then, although she was pregnant at the time again, that is a whole other story.

As soon as the mammary glands dry up and reduce in size is the best time to have the surgery performed. This usually is complete about 3-4 weeks after weaning of kittens.
