I've never had back issues, leg issues, no pain issues at all. I'm 27 years old, and all of a sudden, I can barely lift my 2 month old son because of this killer wrist pain. At first I thought I slept on my hand or something, but then myother hand started hurting. Anyone ever experience this?

I have ... apparently, it was what some refer to as carpel tunnel syndrome, which I guess is an inflammation of the wrist. Never went to the doctor, and it went away over time. I've also had tendinitis in the elbow, and have had cortisone shots for that a couple of times. The shots were like magic ...

I got severe carpal tunnel syndrome in BOTH wrists at the same time, and had the friggin' tests that proved it was equally bad in both wrists. Put me on restriction for 4-5 months. Several other people also had severe carpal tunnel in both wrists.

I doubt if you would get carpal tunnel syndrome in both wrists at the same time.

Actually while it may be rare I do personally know someone who had it in both hands at the same time. Had surgery on both of them at the same time. I was like damn I think I would have down one at a time, he was like nope did them both at the same time. I was like how the hell do you pee, he smiled and said his wife.

Had both my wrists broke at the same time from a ladder collapsing, and I must confess you had better be on good terms with your wife... :)

Dave, you seem to always be the perv.

I would suggest trying heat when it bothers you. They make sock type things you can heat or cool. Or you can make one, just take some rice & put it in a sock.
Also if you are on the computer a lot make sure you have your wrists supported. In addition, try stretching out your fingers with a rubber band over all of them. The tension will help stretch the muscles in your wrist. You should also stretch by slightly pulling your hand back toward you.
If it continues I would see a doctor...it may very well be carpal tunnel. You might even need surgery

hope it helps.

I had an adult nurse practicioner schedule me for the hand/wrist clinic at the VA Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ, after the doctor who does carpal tunnel testing tell me I did not have carpal tunnel. I was told by 4 doctors not to have the surgery. I asked the nurse practicioner why she did this, especially since the doctor told me I didn't have carpal tunnel, and she had no idea why she scheduled the surgery. And there's no way in hell that I would let a idiot "government" doctor touch me especially for a non-existant condition. Fortunately, now I have insurance and don't need the VA Medical Center and their piss-poor medical care.

I went to a spine specialist for neck pain last year and I was diagnosed with carpal tunnel in both wrists, the left tested worse than the right, but the symptoms were worse in the right. Had carpal tunnel release surgery in the right and the neck pain mostly went away.

Still debating whether or not to get the left one done. But the symptoms are coming back in the right for some reason.

Thank you Rick. I have been too busy today to keep up with this. But I saw what you meant...and I completely agree.
