I was recently diagnosed with it and frankly, I used to think it was a baloney diagnosis for whiny people.

But I am not a whiny person! I just had gotten to the point where I was in excruciating pain and was having trouble being functional. My husband forced me to go see someone. I wasn't going to because every other time I had gone because something hurt, no one could find a reason for it and told to just live with it.

I wondered if anyone else here fights it.

A co-worker of mine suffers from this, and you're right -- excruciating doesn't even come close! I'll check to make sure I can pass along contact info.

I have a friend in Temple who has it. She to has the excruciating pain. She is having a difficult time working and tried to get SS but was turned down. I can sure understand what your going through. Good luck to you.

I have had fibro for 10 yrs now. I too when first diagnosed thought it was a BS. Until a few years later....when it really reared its ugly head.
