Why wouldn't you wish NO to be there. After all, it is a barbecue place and I have encountered very few of those where that particular skill set was necessary.

Night Owl

BBQ is finger food.

This time I can't go -- previous commitment. THEMEANOGRE, you never have to depend on public transport. If I'm availablem, I will gladly provide transport for you. There may be other good souls on this Forum who can provide when I'm unable to do so.

That is a different BBQ place..Reds...or something like that

Rick
November 21st, 2009, 8:38 PM
Yes, Reds is on 195. We went there tonight since wife won't be making it tomorrow. Reds makes some very good brisket.

I called Big Hoss and they will be expecting us at noon.

See ya there!

Actually comes in useful periodically - BTW - they gave me lunch FREE - they said that what I ate was not on the menu...

I left a pretty sizeable tip.

You can imagine that I am not a big fan of BBQ either - but the company was worth it.

Fun meal.

I like Dick Young, so I went to the first one to see what you all were like. I liked you (I usually ilke people) and so I have attended all those that I have been in town for.

Today my wife was going to a "couples baby shower" - quite frankly I would have scheduled a high colonic to get out of that so this was high on my agenda! <grin>

Yes - good stuff! <grin>
I don't have a problem getting good food around here and Austin either. It is becoming a great place to eat out.

I like Thai and Indian food - we just really need a better option for mexican food... I cannot find one that I like.

Rick or Scarlett normally send out a notice several weeks in advance. Looking back to the first post in this thread, the original notice for the November 22nd luncheon was posted on November 4th.

Is that the one that used to be a dairy queen? and is across from the senior center? If so - yes - I have tried it. What I forgot to mention is that I am vegetarian and so a "traditional" beans with lard in them are not something that I enjoy.

Manuels is my favorite mecixan restaurant in Austin currently.

Ah, well then. I usually go for the churro beans there, but if you can't eat meat, then I wouldn't recommend it. Good churro beans, though.
