Again - in special session.

Some Texans are gearing up for a gun fight at the Texas Capitol during this special session.
State Rep. Jonathan Stickland said he hasn’t given up on a plan to let Texans carry their firearms without first having to get a permit or safety training.
The controversial plan, known as constitutional carry, died during the regular legislative session this year. But the upcoming special session that starts Tuesday could be the right time to make this proposal law, the Bedford Republican said.
“Just in case any of you were wondering, I’m filing constitutional carry on day 1 of #specialsession,” the firebrand and longtime gun rights advocate tweeted after the regular session ended. “It’s still the No. 1 priority of the Republican Party of Texas,” he said.

From the article: "Some political observers say they don’t think there’s enough time to add this issue to lawmakers’ already full plate. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott already has named 20 items he’d like lawmakers to address while in Austin for the special session."

Special sessions can last only a max of 30 days. If it isn't addressed during this special session, then the Gov should call another one. Texans are tired
of Strauss and his RINO b.s. That clown needs to be sent packing.

The Texas house has the same problem that the US congress has... Primadona politicians who are more worried about bringing home the pork and the next election than about doing what folks sent them there in the first place for.

The US congress is really starting to show its true colors. I like to think of it as the swamp being exposed. Republicans who are moderate are killing the party. These are the ones who want to work to bring about universal health care instead of repeal and replacing with something the country can afford. There simply is not enough money around to pay for everybodys health care. Part of the problem lies in trying to regulate the coverage instead of the insurance companies and the health care costs... Which are ridiculously high.

When I went to the ER last year, all they did was put in an IV, pumped some Morphine in me to control the pain, take blood every morning at 4am, and observe me for 4 days. Cost to Mediacare...$36,000.... And they didn't do much more than observe me. Of course they ran every sort of useless test you can imagine.

I kept the skid free slippers to take home since they must have been made of some exotic element that costs $65...

I lived for a good amount of time in an "open carry" state - Nebraska. Few problems, if any. At least with open carry, you know the score.
