For those of you who haven't heard, the officials will make a decision at 6:00 this evening whether to resume the game at 6:30 or 7:00, weather permitting.

Well, we went to Cove's HEB to get the stuff for Thanksgiving, and got one of their Flaming Bird chickens. As we were driving home, the radio crew said they were planning on starting at 7:00. While I ate, I looked at the radar and the thunder that has been pounding us is moving in Belton's direction, so it doesn't make sense to head back to Belton.

The NCAA has to make the call on what to do, but it doesn't make sense to keep them there waiting. Find them rooms and go back at it in the morning.

The NCAA said that they will wait until 11:00 pm before they decide what to do. Next meeting at 10:30 pm.

This is some crazy weather we are having in Belton, Tx! We were unable to continue the game today against TLU due to thunderstorms. We will resume the game tomorrow, November 23rd. Kickoff will be at 11:30 a.m. We will not require tickets for admittance. Come out once again and support UMHB!

I don't know. I imagine the Cru players stayed in their dorms or wherever they normally live. Maybe UMHB was able to put the Texas Lutheran players up in a dorm, or if not, probably had to find a motel. Lots of dives there along the interstate. :)

Onsides kick - Texas Lutheran recovered but it hadn't traveled 10 yards. UMHB ball at Texas Lutheran's 43. TL still has two time outs so need to keep moving the ball.

Should be in Belton as The Cru finished the season ranked #2. As long as UMHB keeps winning they could host until the semis (if they make it that far). They're in the same bracket as UW-Whitewater, the #1 ranked team. This is normal the way the NCAA Div III people bracket these teams. Same thing year. They don't want UW-Whitewater to have to play Mount Union in the semis. The horror of it all!!!!!!!!!

Listened to the game inv the way to Round Rock. Seems that the delay affected the Cru much more than TLU.

But a win is a win.

Rick - they weren't exactly blowing them out when the rains came. Wasn't it just 14-10 when they suspended play?

The Cru had a hard time breaking out of the funk they were in, but were able to hold on and get the win. Although The Cru played poorly, the officials seemed to get in the way for The Cru to play. The officials were from the SCAC (Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference), the conference that Texas Lutheran is in! That officials crew was the same crew that called the game down in Seguin! It makes one wonder just how close they looked at the TLU players to throw a flag? Yes, The Cru were not the team that we are used to seeing and they almost paid the price and lost the game. The Cru needs to get their heads on straight and be ready for Saturday.

I realize it's hard to beat the same team twice in a year, but they demolished them the first time. No doubt the officials are partial to TL, but I imagine there was a whole lot of overconfidence also. They blew them out earlier this year, then blew out their final two opponents.
