My real dad (father) died 6 months before I was born in a truck accident. He got a call late in the evening to fill in for someone, hauling sheet steel. Another truck pulled out in front of him on the highway, and the load shifted. My mother remarried when I was 9. So, my stepfather was my "Dad". He passed away this afternoon in Minnesota.
