Excessive pet licking?

I have an English Bull Dog that doesn't just want to lick me. She practically wants to give me a bath. If I let her she would lick me all day long. Is that peculiar to her breed or is something wrong with her (perhaps lacking some viatamins in her diet)? :-s

Usually we see this licking as a habit of some dogs. My grandmother had a dog for 15 years that would just lick and lick and lick and lick. Some have proposed that they might enjoy the salty taste on the skin but we typically don't find the dog lacking for any vitamins, minerals or trace elements.

I guess you are in for a bath or two but I don't suspect any real problem with you Bulldog's health.
