This sports section is getting boring.
So, let's have a Name the Heisman Winner contest!!!
Rick doesn't know it yet, but he will be hit up to provide prizes for first, second and third place!!:))
Here's the deal - pick who you think will win the Heisman and list first through fifth places. Include the player's name, position and school - none of this "that guy that plays LB for Sprecksville Tech".
Winner will be determined by receiving points for each correct answer - for example, correct answer for first place gets 5 points, correct answer for third place gets 3, correct answer for fifth place gets 1.
All participants will receive a free subscription and membership to CenTexTalk.com for one year!! :)

Looks like there's a possibility for a few ties in this one:

1. Johnny "Football" Manziel, QB, A&M
2. Manti T'eo, LB, Notre Dame
3. Marquise Lee, WR, USC
4. Colin Klein, QB, KSU
5. Braxton Miller, QB, Ohio State

This may change after the UT vs KSU game.

Yes it looks like most picked the same or almost the same order. I looked at one site and it had Klein as a shoe in, when most had him in 3rd or 4th.
I have to look at different sites, since this is the first year I've been paying attention to College Football.

TU is doing everything in their power to help Klein win the Heisman. How in the HECK does Baylor have a better defense against K State than TU?!!!

Klein had a good game, not a great game
UT crashed and died. I would think by now, after 3 years with those two QB's, Mack Brown would settle on one of them.
Just reinforces my position that Brown is not an elite coach. He had great assistants - who have moved on and become head coaches - and now he is in over his head. Time for ol' Mack to retire.

Guess it's down to the Top 3 - that is all that was invited to NYC for the award.
Oh, Rick is worried about all these prizes. Probably be multiple winners. Said he couldn't afford that many new Corvettes. :))

Well deserved. I'm glad he won, but the audience sure didn't whoop it up very much like they did last year when RG3 won.

Glad Johnny Football won!!!!!!! Awesome!

(And that's coming from someone who bleeds burnt orange. LOL)

Mack Brown should be fired. He passed up Johnny Football, RGIII, Drew Brees, and Andrew Luck.

Yep - just like RGIII got last year: AP Player of the Year, Heisman, Davey O'Brien QB Award, 1st team All-American.
Wonder what this kid can do for an encore next season.

I'd settle for winning the SEC West for starters...one step at a time! He seems to be a pretty smart kid so hopefully he doesn't go out and press too hard to try and outdo this years performance. I'm also curious to see how the offense responds with the loss of Kingsbury as the OC. I think TT reached by bringing him on as the their new head coach so soon in his coaching career, I wish him good luck!

Kingsbury will do fine if he can get good assistants - mainly for defense. Tuberville was never a good fit there and he knew that.

I'm not a Tech fan but I think it is cool that a former player is now the head coach. Makes it more personal for him.

It's always good if you can bring in a former assistant coach or a well known player with coaching experience. They just seem to understand the program better. Kingsbury will be one of the youngest coaches in the nation, but he sure was good to go at A&M, and I'll bet his name will attract a few recruits like Manziel.
