Anyone else fight this successfully without surgery?

I am spending spring break (and then some) in a cast hoping that at the cartilege will heal itself, but I somehow suspect it isn't all that likely for an overweight female past the 40 year mark.

I fell in early January and the "sprain" didn't heal (because it was this fracture and a completely torn ligament)

If you're under 60 you're still a pup.

Thanks, dawg, but I'm not 12 either... Seems like 40YO folks don't like to regrow cartilege.
