Hands on or Tools?!

Massage therapists sometimes use tools, such as a rolling ball, a thumb protector, and rocks, during a massage to enhance or assist them. I want to know if you have had them used on you and what you think of them? Do you like them or would you rather not have them used?

I prefer a pair of strong hands, but if tools can be used by a knowledgable practitioner to enhance a client's experience, then why not!
