Thanks Dave. You wouldn't believe what had to happen to have the surgery go off. As of 5:00 pm the day before 730 surgery we weren't sure even though we were already in Anchorage.
Workman's comp contraverted as we drove into town and Tricare approved surgery - with a different surgeon. It was a mess and blood pressure was high...very very high

So, then, you actually DID get the surgery?
(You haven't come right out and said you got it an how well it went.)
I don't mind being called far right.
I have been right so far.

I did. We were on the hook for the costs if Tricare hadn't come through. (cough, cough, 23K).
The surgery seems to have gone well. Pain is bad right now, but given what had to be done and other factors, that's to be expected. I've *never* had to max out the pain meds before. Not surrounding childbirth or any other procedure. The ride home was intense. I am sure that didn't help. 8 hours of Alaskan road from Anchorage to Fairbanks. I. Felt. Every. bump. The nerve block wore off early.
The procedure was: reattaching and tightening lateral ligments.
Also, they had to debride the bone underneath the cartilege lesion since it had started to die. Once that was done, then they did a microfracture drilling to stimulat the body to fill the area with some sort of pseudo cartilege.
So I'm out of school for a few weeks and I get to re-learn how to walk in December. ii

At least you finally got it done. Hang in there. A month from now you'll be up and moving just fine.

Thanks!
The worst part seems to be that I dream of driving in my sleep, so I'll use that foot to accelerate. That's a jolt that wakes me right up!

Hope this fixes your problem. You have my prayers that all is well.

Yup. Sweetie is charging the cameras. I'm still not really allowed out.

Do they send you to bed with no dinner also?
