I am sick and tired of government sticking their nose in every aspect of our lives.

Microchipping should be a choice. It's also the RESPONSIBLE choice for anyone who has an active pet and/or travels. Pet owners shouldn't need governance to be responsible. Much of the opposition appears to be based on inaccurate assumptions and/or pride. If you don't want to be told what to do, act responsibly on your own accord. If you truly believe it's too expensive, how on earth do you afford vaccinations, grooming expenses, food and the occasional toy for your pet?? There are affordable microchips, and by affordable I mean less than $20 dollars. Do your own homework before you complain.

I am complaining only about another mandate from the government. I have three pups and can afford to chip them. I have made the decision not to do so because there is always the chance of something happening when a foreign body is injected into a body. When it becomes 100% safe then I might do it, until then it ain't gonna happen.

Please....really is that the only reason you are not doing it....because there is a "chance" of something happening when a foreign body is injected???? And you don't care to call your pet your child??? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! You are killing me, man. So, when you need a pace maker or whatever the case might be you are gonna tell your doctor no because there is a chance that something might happen when a foreign body is inserted into yours. Come on now. Look at the numbers of those things that are being done compared to "things" that are happening as you are calling it. OH LORD.

You're in America and if you are sticking food in your mouth in this country, you are injecting foreign bodies every bite!!! There's gotta be a better argument than that.

I've seen too many irresponsible PET owners and too many irresponsible CHILD owners in my lifetime already. I'm tired of caring and picking up the slack for those that don't. Shouldn't need governance and don't need are two far different cries. If people would take care of business we wouldn't have to have all this governance.

Maybe you should chip your kids then.

    And get youself chipped also.

Sometimes your posts don't make a lick of sense and this was one of those times.

My dogs are my pets, not my children and anyone who compares the two has a few screws loose.

The more people don't care for and keep an eye on their kids, I bet the closer the government is to doing that as well!

If people can't care for themselves, maybe the government will have to chip individuals too! I care for myself, my spouse, my 3 children, my 4 pets, my mother-in-law, I have a homeless family of 3 living with me right now until June, I care for a class of 20 students and do it well (I think Scarlett can fend for me on that one, no?) I often assist my husband in sending support to his siblings in Honduras. I know what it means to "take care" and I do it well even when my husband is on the other side of the world playing Army. I can spin circles around just about anyone.

My posts make perfects sense. Your posts are contradictory. You talk like you don't give a lick about your pets then you turn the table and say the only basic reason you won't chip them is because you are overwhelmingly concerned that there is a "chance" something could happen from a foreign body being inserted. If your are referring to the comment about the food. Dude, we have so much foreign crap in everything in our country these days it is CRAZY! You know it and I know it. Our food is no longer food. It is full of hormones, pesticides, antibiotics, fillers, fake vitamins because everything has been depleted, etc, etc. Our bodies and livers are full of waste because of the drugs we are given by doctors because instead of getting off our lazy butts and doing something we take a drug and continue to sit on our butts. Western disease is due to our lifestyle. You are so confused about what makes sense. Get off this site a little and do some research. Oh, I have no screw loose!
