    The problem with the system is that small market teams like Pittsburgh, KC, Cleveland, etc can't compete in bidding for these superstars. Pittsburgh lost Barry Bonds. KC lost a few good players. Cleveland lost Thome, Manny Ramirez, C.C. Sabatthia and Cliff Lee.
    Put those four players back on the Indians roster and they would have won a World Series or two.
    Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

    Did I miss the message where someone was complaining about the Yankee's payroll.

    If you ask me, they aren't getting their money's worth. But it's their money.

    The good thing about that list is that the Rangers are way on the bottom and should be able to spend some money to bring in more talent!!!

    And they did it while being bankrupt all year. Management did a good job of keeping them focused.

    I think it's the amount of fight in a man, not what he gets paid that makes the difference.

    And NO, I am not jumping on the bandwagon, just noting what I observed.
