    Another "Bragging Rights" milestone

I see CenTexTalk has passed another "Bragging Rights" milestone.

There are 100 users who have posted at least 100 messages each.

The last milestone was a few months back, so I thought it best to start a new thread, and I couldn't figure out how to link to the old thread and quote it at the same time, so here is the link.

    And here is the quote:
    Another important milestone.

Checking the user list for those who have posted messages
CenTexTalk has 164 who have posted 20 or more times
KDHForums has only 80 who have posted 20 or more times

That is better than 2 to 1,

and it filters out all the bots, spammers, and others
who really aren't interested in what is going on here.

One reason I never got interested in Topix discussions was there
were to many people from outside the area just dropping one or
two messages in and having nothing to do with real issues.
    .
I don't mind being called far right.
I have been right so far.

We have had steady usage throughout. Usage is currently on the increase. More and more page loads per day and nothing major is going on.

What is neat is that when something does happen, people come here to see what others are saying about it. That's good stuff.

Good show! Thank you CT2 staff!

I feel like this forum provides so many benefits to the community that are not readily apparent. As far as local government, it provides not only information but also the opportunity to discuss it in a manner where time restraints are not a factor. "Please state your concerns in three minutes" is not going on here. I like to read stuff and let it sink in sometimes. You can go through the process of " what if" , You can play out the scenarios, or do some research before you answer, or not. Anyway, congratulations are in order, Good Luck, Keep up the Good Work.

I agree with Olddowntownguy. I have never,
since my days on USENET (in the 90's) found
a better way among people to work out problems
and solutions, than the electronic BBS forum.

This is one of the best run forums I have ever
been a part of, and the CenTexTalk staff are
to be congratulated for their efforts.

Thanks, you guys are too kind. I remember the bbs boards. I used to run one on the evenings. I couldn't afford a dedicated phone line, so I just ran it from 6pm-midnight. Was a WWIV, BBS.
