Hamlin really screwed Reddick over by making the 2024 announcement so early.
That caught Childress by surprise and now, Reddick doesn't get to keep his crew chief of the #8.
Also, that was no way to treat Richard Childress. The man's a legend, he deserved more respect than that. Of course, I would never expect any class from Hamlin.

I just saw an interesting news article about Kyle Bush. There's rumors going around that because of everything going on, Toyota is now using him as their guinea pig with experimental cars/adjustments. This would explain how once it came out that he had another team locked in, his cars started tanking. Last weekend, the engine tanked so bad that it looked like the head gasket blew and it was blowing out coolant/oil. Some of his comments referring to "this not as a Nascar problem, but a Toyota problem and it's sad because what they're doing is affecting more than just him" are a big part of the fuel for this rumor.
What do y'all think?

Thought I saw something last week that said there are only TWO Toyota teams left in NASCAR Cup--JGR, and the "affiliated" 23XI. Everyone else is Ford or Chevy.

Yea, and a struggle with that for Toyota is now teams like Kyle Bush Motorsports that were running Toyota are also taking their business elsewhere. Then the drivers that come up through teams like KBM are already working with teams like Chevy and that makes it a little harder for Toyota to re-grow. We may be seeing the end of Toyota in NASCAR in the next 5 years if things keep going how they are.
