Lunar Eclipse 15 may 2022

This site shows that the total eclipse will occur at 11:11PM.
Clear skies are forecasted.

Lunar eclipses are sorta cool, but, at the same time, sorta meh.
Y'all are in for a treat in 2 years. You don't have to travel to see a total solar eclipse.
Killeen is well within the path of totality.
For the "great eclipse of 2017", I drove up north of Chattanooga to see it. It was amazing. You could feel the temperature drop.

2017 was partial here. I took my welding helmet to work so we could see it. It was still a good view.
2024 one is going to cool. I don't think I've ever experienced a total solar eclipse.

2017 I was about 30 minutes south of the center line, where there was the maximum duration of totality. That meant I saw ~10 seconds less of totality.
Close enough for me. It was still more than 2 minutes.

The first time I had my wife look through the telescope at the moon, I got her going by telling her I could see the flag that the Lunar explorers planted. She must have squinted for 10 minutes before I let her in on the joke.
