I suppose it may come as a shock to some... including Flores, that nobody owes him a head coaching position. Maybe he needs to try Dallas. After all, nobody ever accused Jerry of having the sense to hire the best money can buy.

I think Rick is right, Flores in all probability would have gotten one of the vacant jobs, but.. ....no more. ...I really think that as long as two key words, or terms, are dominant in the black vocabulary...slavery and (systemic) racism, and those words play such a large part in their thinking, that they will always believe they are owed.... California is seriously thinking of paying reparations now.
Jerry Jones likes to think of himself as the ultimate salesman. I think even he will have a hard time selling his beloved Cowboys to fans next year. IMO, he should have fired McCarthy the day after that disasterous playoff game. McCarthy doesn't do much coaching, anyway, and serves mostly as a figurehead.Compare his sideline actions to those of some of the really good coaches in the league. .. Just my opinion, of course, but...JJ has lost all credibility for me.
Just a comment about the "being owed" statement. I think Black History month could be such a really positive thing, but...the way it is structured now, with the things that are emphasized, over and over and over, ..not so much.

I suppose that next, some team will decide that it is owed a playoff berth, and a Superbowl trophy.

Of course! We're all about equity now don't you know. Everybody deserves to go to the Superbowl, no matter how badly they play the game.

It is definitely time they do away with the "Pro Bowl"...I watched about three minutes of the "game" today. It wasn't even a good touch game. Those players should be embarrassed, but, of course, they are not....If I had paid good money to watch that "game" in person, I would be more than a little upset. That exhibition is really disgraceful to the sport and to the NFL.

It was a bit boring to watch but the Pro Bowl was never meant to be a serious game. It's all about the players having fun with each other and the NFL trying out new rules for games.

Got to watch that 15 year old Russian figure skater Saturday night. She is amazing. Flawless and smooth. Also saw Mikala Schifrin hit bottom on gate 5 after the announcers anointed her GOAT. WTF, they should mute those clowns...

Speaking of the Pro Bowl, one of the darling Pro Bowl players was arrested immediately after the game for an assault in a nightclub that happened the night before. Bunch of entitled #######s if you ask me.

I miss being on the border. Laredo Lemurs games were 5 bucks. Refreshments not too high. Real baseball lovers played and watched. I have no affinity for any major league pro sports teams.

X, the "Pro Bowl" was not always like it is now. They used to actually play football, not a game of touch, and players played full speed and played to win.... Somehow, the game has evolved into a silly "touch" game with pads. Sad.. ...What new rules could the NFL possibly be trying out in a farce game like they now have?
