Well, this year will start with me having only five more days of work left. I'll be retiring at the end of next week.

I have been working since I was fourteen and the thought of not having to go to work anymore is a bit scary. But it is time. Neither shoulder replacement went well and I am in constant pain, so I am opting to retire.

    Happy New Year!

I'm sorry to hear about the shoulder pain Rick. One of the busiest guys I know is retired. He doesn't like sitting around the house, so he's always coming up with things to do.

I have some things I have been putting off to take care of.

We did buy this from a former coworker. It was a great deal and if we don't like it, we can make a buck off of it.

    It's a 2013 with 12,000 miles. Perfect condition.

I clicked "Like" on your post, Rick, for the retirement part.
But, I'm sad that your shoulder surgery has not yielded satisfactory results.

I remember when I first retired. I redid the paint inside the house, redid the garage walls with texture finish and painted that. I was doing all the laundry, housecleaning, dishes etc... And then I gave up trying to keep busy. Good luck with retirement, and I hope it goes well with you.

Well, things are likely going to be crazy at first. Daughter in law broke her ankle last year and it looks like she needs more surgery. Son decided to take a job in Japan and leaves in two weeks, so my wife will likely have to go there to take care of her and the baby, so I'll have to take care of horses.

    We'll see how it goes.
