I don't think Larson's car touched Wallace's. Wallace chose to not lift and that decision was why he scraped the wall.

Lap 94 of 267, Wallace could have lifted.

I doubt if Wallace gets any punishment. NASCAR will be called racist if they do.

Shoving the official's arm is likely what NASCAR is most concerned about.

I was surprised at the crowd cheering when Busch lost a wheel. That's supposed to be a friendly home crowd...lol

There have been a lot of surprises lately, such as shoving matches between racers and such.

Yep, no fine, just a week off. Totally meaningless.

If a car loses a wheel, the crew chief is put on a 4 week suspension. However if a driver spins another driver, they will only suspend them one race because that's the bare minimum they can do and stick to the rulebook. Nothing about walking 100 feet to assault another driver. Nothing about walking on the track while cars are on it which you're not allowed to do because drivers have died from doing that and being hit by a car. Nothing about assaulting the track official. They literally gave him the bare minimum which they were forced to do after amending the rulebook wording because Byron's appeal went through.

Rodney Childers was suspended as crew chief for 4 weeks due to a modified deck lid that nobody will elaborate on!

What would the rule be, that you can't advance your position after hitting the wall? I don't see how that could be enforced.

If they are concerned about it, they could throw a caution and freeze the field as soon as they hit the wall, but if the car isn't wrecking, there's no need to throw a caution.

Don't want to look for it now on the internet, but maybe it's a false story--Jimmie Johnson returns to NASCAR...as a new part-owner of...Richard Petty's race team?
