Everybody likes the story of the Little Train That Could. That, right now, is what Notre Dame represents in collegiate football.

Notre Dame, "The Little Train That Could"?? Notre Dame has always been considered one of the major powers in the country in football and has, along with UT, who has their own network, had more of their games televised than anyone else I know.
You need to keep in mind, Touchdown Jesus is looking down on all of their home games.

Noter Dams has PULL! Back when the NCAA 'redid" the bowl games, on plan was based on the games having ALL of the various conferences champs in automatically...PLUS the then-unaffiliated Notre Dame (provided ND had a winning season...).

Imagine ND playing a church school like BYU or Baylor...or Liberty University, for a National Championship...

The French probably thought the very same thing when they built the Maginot Line..."The Germans will never get through this...."
