It's so sad to see such piling on. The game should have been stopped after the first quarter.

Perhaps if this was a high school game. But, with it being a college game there isn't a "mercy rule." The second half was played by a majority of players who's jersey numbers weren't even listed in the program. Those players were 3rd, 4th & 5th string who were able to get some actual game experience. When the opportunity presented itself to those players they were able to show the coaches what they were capable of doing. One can't expect a team to run 10 yards and take a knee because the other team isn't up to the task. If a team isn't able to produce an effort to be competitive then maybe they need to rethink about dropping down to a lower competitive level (NAIA).

It's hard to tell a group of players who show up to practice every day, not to score if given a chance.

Bill Belichek said, "If you don't want us to score, don't give us the football" A scout sees a kid trying their tail off and gets noticed. Its's a shame they couldn't score 90.

They probably could have. There were more than three minutes left when the Cru intercepted a Simpson College pass.

Coach Fredenburg had them in victory formation for three downs and then kicked the ball back to them with about a minute left.

Coach was, as always, level headed after this one way stomp. He noticed that his defensive secondary had a number of weak spots they needed to work on, despite the overwhelming win. Good job Cru.
