What's up with golf?

I'm sure Fred week get mad at me for this...lol I've played golf years ago.

Why do spectators have to be quiet when a golfer is about to hit the ball? The ball isn't moving and the golfer even has time to take practice swings.

But in baseball, no-one has to be quiet before the batter swings at a ball that is moving up to 100 miles per hour.

Actually, I wonder the same thing! just like Tennis. Good grief don't fart belch or make a sound when serving. I love golf, played all flipping weekend, yea and it was hot too, but its Texas. Golf certainly has some snob rules though.......

If you want to see spectators doing the exact opposite of golf spectators, watch pro cycling.
It's like the sea parting as the cyclists ride up the hills. The crowd is all over the road, lighting smoke bombs and waving flags.
