Yep... They figured out what the sticks in the bag were for. All I can say is that Cleveland must have some terrible pitching. I do not attribute anything to the Rangers ability to hit the ball. Good win though... and on the road. Not very usual.

They actually have some great pitchers. Too bad two or three of them, including last year's Cy Young winner, are on the DL. I never heard of the guy who pitched last night. Hell, even the manager is out following hip replacement surgery...lol

Rangers tried out a new hire pitcher tonight and got their lunch handed to them. Welcome to the Rangers Latz... AKA the place where pitchers go to die. Evidently, player go there as well. For the same reason.

You can't blame teams who are out of it for trying the new prospects in order to see how they'll do on the big stage. This is a good time to set up for next season.

The Indians are in good shape since they still have Jose Ramirez for two more years and they have the lowest payroll, and some real good pitching. Picking up Straw from Houston has proven to be a great move. I think he has hit safely in 19 of 22 games for the Indians and he is a beast in center field. A real clutch player.

Next year is looking good for the Tribe. Except for the stupid ass name change.

The Rangers have been "building" next years team for 5 years or so now. I can, and do, blame them for their poor performance, and selection of management.

Their GM is about the weakest and poorest decision making fool I have ever seen. It is amazing how the guys they hire are crap, then go somewhere else and get good.

My wife says she is going to make a list of the losers the Rangers need to get rid of. Like Woody hasn't got eyes or a brain to do the right thing.

Want to give a game away? Just send in Sborz or Martin. So what does the genius do last night with a 4 to nothing lead? He sends in Sborz who immediately gives up a home run. Then when Sborz is about to do even more damage, he sends in Martin who gives up a 2 run homer. Now it is 3 to 4 Rangers ahead. Then he sends in Patton, who is like a combination of the other 2, who manages to finish before giving up the winning run. Yay... The Rangers win... despite their stupid ass manager and feckless bullpen.

These guys know they are finishing in the basement and play like it. I mean, why hit when the bullpen just gives it away later on any way?

And tonight, the bullpen did it's usual thing and gave away a 5 to zip lead up and gave away 9 runs in the late innings so that the Rangers would lose at least one in this 3 game series. Typical. Again, why hit when your bullpen gives up 3 or 4 runs for every one you get?

Last night the Rangers found a new way to lose. Having been up on the Rockies most of the game, their bull pen came in and well, next thing you know the game is tied. then this happened:

    https://twitter.com/MLBONFOX/status/...lide-violation

For those that are afraid of links, the guy slide into second defensively causing the Rockies player to throw the ball wide. The Rockies coach challenged and the Rangers got called for the last two outs of the 10th thus ending the game. FWIW the Mets blew a 4-0 lead to the Phillies, but this is a Rangers thread. Going to be a long season.

Well, the Rangers have finally got some batters, but they keep on missing the message on pitching. They lost a game the other day that they had a 7 to 0 lead in. Then they bought in their bullpen pitchers and voila... they lost 10 to 8. It figures.

Yea, that was against the Blue Jays. Sadly one of the nicest things about the Rangers is their golf course in Arlington. nice layout and nice time. Like the Cowboys Golf Club in that if you enjoy sports and golf, it is a neat place.
