Lud, school auditing is known. It is a fact. If you would like to check the audits, go ahead if that is what you desire. Transparency? Just how transparent would you like it to be..to have all of the audits that you are interested in delivered, explained in detail, to your doorstep?....If you do not believe that no public money is used to support UT football, go ahead and check into it. Let us know what you find out....Tell us just how much money did UT football bring in the last two years? The information is available to you.

mac, the supposition was that the band and UT did have a contract, with all of the details you listed being agreed upon.

To give you an idea of what kind of moneys we are talking about....The Daily Texan reported that the University of Texas system now has the country's second largest endowment at $31 billion dollars. It is the second wealthiest university system in the nation.
The University of Texas football program is the most profitable college football program in the country.

Whereas the UT System is a government entity of the state of Texas, every nickle and dime in that system is public money, period.

UT athletics receives $ 0 from student fees and $ 0 from the University.
Lud, you and mac sure need to let Jay Hartzell, Chris Del Conte, the UT Board of Regents, the NCAA, the Austin American Statesman, and all other reporting agencies and entities know the facts, since apparently, according to you, ...they all have it wrong.

UT is a public state university, and therefore Sarksian IS an "employee of the State of Texas"... the HIGHEST PAID employee of the State of Texas...

Reckon that "Jimbo" over there in College Station might be hankerin' for a pay raise, too?

Reminded of the 'incident' several years ago by some Aggie student or alumnus, who submitted a FOIA request to the Texas Attorney General, for the Longhorn football playbook...hey now, it was "developed" by state employees, and should then be subject to being copied and handed over to any state resident who requests a copy, right?
