Four or five college coaches expected to be fired at end of season with buyouts ranging from 9 to 20 million dollars. Crazy.

Tom Herman fired as Head Coach at UT. Buy out for him and his assistants over 20 million dollars. ...Surprising after UT's performance in the Alamo Bowl. Team looked very good, with young players impressing. Most seem to think some very well off alums did not forget or forgive Herman getting involved in the political stuff with players...BLM, The Eyes of Texas school song, etc.)..and wanted him gone. ...Word is that Steve Sarkesian , the Alabama Offensive Coordinator is going to get the job. He has been very successful under Saban at Alabam, but... hard to believe he will be hired at UT since he had a poor record as head coach, and had a well publicized public "problem" with alcohol when he was at USC. Seems like there would be lots of PR problems with his hire in Austin. ...
UT wanted Urban Meyer, ...but he was not interested.

South Carolina agrees to 13 million dollar payoff to fired football coach Will Muschamp.

American Statesman reports today that University of Texas athletics has made a profit of 22.1 million dollars this year despite pandemic.

Wonder if that's before or after they enriched the former coaches they let go?

    TEXAS has a balanced budget.

Don't know. Crazy isn't it. I wouldn't doubt if some of the donors, the very wealthy alums, that were behind Herman's firing didn't cover the buyouts.

What's crazy is the buy out for coaches. Fire them and tell them to not let the door hit them in the ass on their way out.

Coaches do have pretty nice severence packages, don't they. That's just the way it is in today's world.
When you think of that being crazy, just think about the salaries of pro athletes, actors, rappers, tv personalities...the Kardashians.
We definitely have a very skewed, screwed up system of supply and demand in our country today.
