CBS Sports? Matt Mayer reports that Kurt Busch, winner of Sunday?s Cup race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, says there?s a 50/50 chance 2021 will be his final season.

Busch signed a multi-year extension in late 2019 to remain with Chip Ganassi Racing. At the time the deal was announced, the contract was believed to run through the 2021 season.

Ganassi needs Kurt to be the "senior driver" on his team, depending on who winds up in the #42 if Kenseth is sent packing. That seat could wind up with a rookie in it, so Ganassi would be wise to hold onto Kurt. But if the 42 gets someone who has been around a while (Ty Dillon?), then he won't need Kurt.
