The Dolphins put up some really good teams in the early 70's. When they came to Shea to play the Jets, it was always sold out. Dad and I had no issue though when the Colts came to town....

Born in Grand River, OH. Small fishing village on the Grand River and Lake Erie. Raised in Painesville Township. Went to Painesville Harvey Has and John Carroll University. Drafted by Paul Brown in 1951 and played for the Browns for a few years. Got into coaching at University of VA and then Detroit Lions named Baltimore's coach in 1963. Was on the sidelines in 1964 when the Browns crushed then in the NFL Championship Game, 27-0 . Was a great coach and man. RIP
