Logano caused the big wreck again. Hope he gets his ass beat. He took out a bunch of good cars.

Sad thing is, he didn't wreck.

They aren't saying if he was alert or anything. Other teams offering prayers on Twitter.

    This sucks.

Many news reports are saying Newman was "helped" from his car - not "taken".
That may be a good thing.
And, the medical crews that arrived at the car didn't seem too panicked when they looked in the car.

Listening to NASCAR on Sirius/XM and there is NO official information to report yet.

Someone on Twitter said that there was a black screen blocking the view of the car, and that the camera crews were told to leave pit road.

One news report says he went right into a trauma room at Halifax.

Car on the flatbed not covered up. That may be a good sign.

Claire B. Lange is at the hospital and there is still nothing to announce.

On one hand, you think that is good news, but on the other hand, it isn't.

We watch these guys week after week for years and with the access that this sport affords, we feel like we know these guys. Newman is a hard charging fierce competitor. Always has been and always will be. That's one of the reasons he is so respected in the sport.

The wreck was not the fault of anyone. NASCAR has made great advances in safety. There is nothing that can prevent everything and getting hit, upside down in the driver window at 200 mph is just something that confirms that steel machines traveling at 200 mph is just inherently dangerous in a dangerous sport.
