NCAA Released Results of UMHB's Self Reported Violations

The NCAA stripped all of the 2016 and 2017 records, including the 2016 National Championship. UMHB is appealing. I guess it doesn't pay to self report a violation. Rules are rules and Fredenburg should have known better. Needless to say, I am very disappointed in the infractions.

Oh yea, heinous infractions, right up there with Bobby Bowden.....the man loaned a student his 13 year old car.......sad.....it was nice to think the program was on the up and up....

Well, they want to take back the NCAA championship from them... All because one player borrowed an old car, and another one did for an hour or so.

Far as I am concerned, the team as a whole won that title... not one or 2 individuals. Did Pete make a mistake? Yep... And the NCAA committee has demanded retribution, but to negate an entire teams effort for a season is unthinkable, and too much.

Coach, bless his heart, says that he did it because the student in question was in real need for transportation, and he wasn't using the old beater anyhow. No good deed goes unpunished nowadays.

I was buying Halloween candy at the grocery store this morning and thinking how it would be just like someone to sue the hell out of someone for giving their kid a piece of candy that they were allergic to. But that is the world we live in.

It is, however, totally OK for kids to destroy any house that does not produce candy to their liking though.

The NCAA once "cleared" Joe Paterno's win record in coaching, due to his "inability" to report one of his assistants for sexual misconduct! The NCAA changed its mind a few years later, and "reinstated" JoePs's win record.

Makes me wonder if they will demand everyone who got a 2016 ring turn them in. Tarnish on the trophy.

The NCAA is like the Democrat party - an out of control power hungry bunch of retards. BFD. Loaned his old car to a student. Boot like recruiting violations, having someone take tests for the players, etc. Tell the NCAA to pound sand and take it to court

The NCAA rules are so...intrusive, that a college athlete CANNOT even accept a free meal from anyone associated with the college, unless that meal was also offered to the ENTIRE student body...

Student's mom dies? Well, he or she can't accept money from the coach to pay for the gas to get him/her home for the funeral.

California passed the Fair Pay to Play Act allowing student athletes to make money. Maybe UMHB will find a judge that like the purple and gold....

And CA has what authority to do so? The NCAA will take it to court.

the athletes are already being paid by the colleges.
