I think they should pay her a couple million.

I bet there are still students in temporary buildings and having to share books. But as long as they hire a good spin doctor, all is well.

    Priorities people.
    Rick said spin doctor ...

The Killeen Daily Herald had this in last Sunday's Op-ED: "It's fair to ask why Craft was in such a hurry to fill the position." I think the answer to the question is that she is now eligible to get the proposed 3.5% increase in pay for administrative staff. That would be $4,788. Not bad for working only a few weeks for the district.
That makes no sense if she started today or 6 months from today she would still get what the job pays

KISD has four 5A-sized high schools--you think a district that size should pay a district communications director less than $100,000?
    Killeen ain't Hamilton or Florence...
Why does any public school need a communications director? Waste of money.

There are many first year teachers who were hired this summer thinking that the "job paid $47,000." They all just got a 7% raise to $50,300. I don't think that everyone in KISD will get a pay raise and they will leave only one person out.
