May I have permission to use that line?
    Absolutely.
I came up with that line during lunch today, as one of my co-workers was talking about the socialist Scandinavian countries. As we stood up to go drop off the trays, we noticed that a couple of tables over from where we were was a group of flight students from - yup - Sweden...They gave us the eye....

Well, seems there is yet another caravan forming up in Honduras... This one should get interesting.

Mexican authorities have said that they will not let them in.. Unless they apply for a visa, at which time they will let them go wherever they want to inside Mexico. And this is in a country that has (believe it or not) stricter immigration policies than the US. But then nobody wants to stop and stay in Mexico, so what do they care, right.

Many of the members of the last Caravan stopped and stayed in northern Mexico until their asylum requests are addressed. Many of them went to the Texas border and got in anyhow. Go figure. Seems like Texas is the place to go to get in despite the law.

Good place for a few ambushes in Mexico.

As I master'd a bong in high school myself, I will attempt to put this
    in cannabis-bonics.

The people that want to eliminate our eminent leader have elected to accelerate
the process - so they may continue getting their righteous bucks.

Our leader decided it would be better to torch the entire building to get rid of the spider.

I never said “no wall”. Of course, some helps. I thought it odd that a Border Patrol supervisor who was ostensibly recruited to speak on behalf of the wall pointed out a tunnel where she was showing the wall. The idea of a thousand mile wall is untenable. Mine fields would be more effective, but I think that’s not the best idea, either. Until we have comprehensive immigration reform, with wnforcement actions done in a timely manner, we don’t have a chance, no matter what we do to engance bordee security. Like I said, it’s the current plan (or lack therof) that is unnecessary and untenable. You can’t declare a solution until the problem has been identified.

    13,171 miles.
The length of the Great Wall of China.

What we really need is for the law to be changed where it says anyone caught entering the US illegally will be immediately deported and handed the proper paperwork to fill out for legal entry. If caught inside the border illegally, they are given one strike against them for admission. If they have any other convictions, they would be counted as additional strikes. 3 Strikes and you are out for good.

As it stands now, the illegals have it made as long as they can get here. They are detained, confined, and then released pending a hearing date. Then they fail to show up and there is no way to find them.

It would take something that politicians do not have, and that is guts combined with a sense of what is right and wrong. I also think an immediate effort to chase down and remove Visa overstays is needed. That, and new laws concerning lottery Visas that call for a look at what potential entries have to offer America once they are here.

We have a great country with a ton of opportunities. I don't think it is wrong to expect something in return for the privilege of moving here. We have enough home grown criminals and beggars without importing any more. Get some bang for our buck. Then, once they are here and contributing, they can help the rest of us who have earned a living help out those who rely on someone giving them their fair share.
