    Week 7 Games

    OFF: Belton (4-2, 3-1)

    Thursday game(10/11):

    Temple (5-0, 3-0) @ Killeen (4-2, 3-1)

    Friday games(10/12):

    Shoemaker (0-5, 0-3) vs. Ellison (2-4, 2-2) (HC)

    Copperas Cove (4-2, 2-2) @ Waco Midway (3-1, 3-0)

    Harker Heights (0-6, 0-4) @ Waco (1-4, 0-3)

Been gone the past couple of weeks but what games Temple-Belton & Shoemaker-Killeen were. Heights has a freshman running the show at QB & Cove laid the smackdown on Waco. Wolves getting closer to breaking that streak, maybe this week is the week.

This will be a homecoming game for Ellison, and my wife got an Emerald "Mum" as a gift from a friend, so she is ready to go. Hope they do better than they traditionally do at homecoming, and I know Schoemaker is hungry bad for a win right now.

Big matchup with Killeen-Temple that'll bring up memories of the past rivalry they had. This could possibly be the week for Shoemaker depending on how fast they get over the controversial loss last week, Ellison needs this game bad if they want to stay in the playoff race. Cove-Midway will be interesting as well, Dawgs look rejuvenated & Midway's seemed to have turned it around. Heights' freshmen QB showed some potential & Waco is down this year, this is their best chance IMO for a win this year.

Can't wait to see if Ellisons defense has figured out that they need to get into the opponents backfield and put some pressure on the QB... Something they have not been doing much of lately.

They did it a bit last week and it paid off. Of course, Shoemakers offense will have to cooperate as well.

    Calpreps predictions:
    Temple 41, Killeen 21
    Shoemaker 26, Ellison 24
    Harker Heights 22, Waco 21
    Midway 35, Copperas Cove 31

Final score: Temple 35, Killeen 13. 8 sacks for Temple, they contained Killeen's standout sophomore RB running-wise. Temple QB threw for 4 TDs.

    Dave this ones for you.

I didn't think it was possible.

KWTX just posted the Midway Cove score.

Midway 4249 Cove 14. The sportscaster said the score was 49 to 24 Midway. Oh what am I to believe?

Cove got wiped, something like 52-28.
