We stayed until the 3rd quarter ended... Couldn't watch any more.
While Cove may have it's fair share of shortcomings, their running game is darn good. They ran all night to the left and gained 5 yards every time they tried it. Of course, the fact that the Eagle defense stinks didn't hurt either.
Ellisons QB played the old Buddy McBride playbook all night trying to run the same guy over and over up the middle. It took CC about 3 plays to figure out and compensate for that. Plus the QB holds on to the ball way too long and misses easy gainers for 5 and 7 yards so he can look around until he gets sacked for the hail Mary pass.
I am amazed that they have a win at all really, and hope this new coach can extract his head out of rectal defilade soon.

CB Tommy Connell blocked 2 PATs and one INT.
680 yards total offense for Cove.

Simmon: 20 rushes 256 yards. Not a bad night's work.

Ellson's QB is the son of former Killeen Roos' QB Billy Spiller who QB'd the Roos to the state championship in 1991. Big Joe Lombardi said on his broadcast the kid just throws it as far as he can and tells the receivers to go get it.

Sorry - he had 270 yards. That's over 13 yard average!
