My thoughts on FOX bias are from looking at shows like Hannity and the Ingrahm angle. And from the left I get the worst from MSNBC and shows like Morning Joe and Madcow.

I can't watch much of Hannity, even though I agree with almost everything he says, mostly because he won't let anyone finish a sentence. Him and Cavuto tend to dominate the conversation and interrupt responses too much... Even when the guest is agreeing with them. I hate it when a host does all the talking. But then it is the same for certain guests once they are asked a question. Trumps info babe Kellyanne Conway or whatever her name is, is another one that tends to filibuster when given the floor.

Lester Holt of NBC is about as spin oriented as anyone I have ever seen on the MSM. He has a way of telling you the democrat talking points and making it almost make sense. Not that it fools me much though. One has to put on their BS earmuffs when watching the evening news nowadays.

I usually watch FOX as a primary news source simply because they do not make it a custom to start out every broadcast with a dump Trump theme. But after watching them today, one would never know another hurricane is about to hit the Gulf coast, and even NBC reported on that. We have had to go to the weather channel to see how close the storm is getting to our daughters house. Of course, after NBC reported on the storm they had to throw in something about global warming and republicans being responsible for that mess... True to form.

oh, ok, got it. hannity and ingrahm aren't news casters, they get paid (and watched) for opinons......

completely agree with you on lester (newscaster)......he's really agenda driven......you can generally pick up on that by watching his last item of the day........mac

Well, Shannon Bream at 10pm and Brett Baer at 5pm are the news reporters, and they are fairly unbiased for the most part, but there are also what I call "Lester Holt" moments in the way they report as well. What they do offer that the MSM does not are some of the good things that are happening like the unemployment rates and economy. Holt and the others stay away from positives like they were the plague, and if they do cover them it is usually why Trumps policies are hurting farmers, or the Canadians and Mexicans. Not how they are improving the market place and trade deals. They have a way of making a rainbow look like an eyesore if you get my drift.

Still, anyone who is keeping up on the facts knows enough to parse whatever is said so that it translates into straight talk. You can rest assured that if MSM is reporting some disaster, that there is a lot of good news that is not being said or reported on.

I have felt so free since I quit listening to the talking heads, no matter where in the political spectrum they may land. Amazing how just collecting facts from the various media lends me an ability to form an opinion (or not - I don't have to have an opinion on everything) that I can rely on, because it is factually based. If new FACTS come up that would lend credence to change my opinion, I am free to do that. It's also amazing how much is going on in the world that watching the "news" outlets made me miss.

Added bonus - I miss most of the political ads.

I had cut the cord too, but was drawn back in over the Justice Kavanaugh mess. For some reason I had a nasty feeling he wasn't going to get confirmed because of all that BS. I got so happy when he made it, and still for the life of me cant understand why I was obsessed with all of it....strange.

Well, now the democrats are saying he is "illegitimate" and rulings where he makes a difference are to be ignored, I guess.

This is the sort of things that happen when liberals start living in their alternative reality.

Like I said... just watch all the stuff they are accusing the right if doing, and that is exactly what they are really up to.

I saw the progress of Hurricane Micheal on Fox, this morning. They covered it multiple times.

Whether or not Justice Kavanaugh got seated was a major watershed moment in our future.
It would be illogical not to be just a little obsessed with it.
I don't mind being called far right.
I have been right so far.

I watched the Kavanaugh hearings, and read a few articles about the bickering. His nomination was never in real trouble.

Well, it seems that someone on the left has filed charges against him for lying under oath during the confirmation hearings. But there is a problem because the rule does not apply to sitting supreme court justices. They will make a political fuss about this as well trying to delegitimize the court in its current configuration.

And if the case would be applicable to currently sitting justices, it would also include possible investigation to all of them including the liberal bench legislators currently seated.
