Bristol TV ratings
Is anyone surprised???
UPDATE: Saturday's NASCAR Cup Series Bristol Night Race earned a 1.4 rating and 2.33 million viewers on NBCSN, down 39% in ratings and viewership from last year on the NBC broadcast network (2.3. 3.82M) and down a third and 36% respectively from 2015, the last time it aired as scheduled on NBCSN (2.1, 3.61M).
For the season, Bristol delivered the third-smallest Cup Series audience on any network, ahead of only Kentucky on NBCSN last month (2.26M) and Kansas on FS1 in May (2.04M).
For the weekend, NASCAR placed third among all sporting events behind Sunday's coverage of the US Gymnastics Championships on NBC (1.9, 3.1M) and the final round of the PGA Tour Wyndham Championship on CBS (1.8, 2.6M).

One would think that NBC's rating would've gone up over past seasons, with 'Junior Nation' now watching Dale Jr. in the booth, helping to call the race (alongside Jeff Burton). The two of them sure "clean up nice", as the saying goes.

Their voices are annoying as hell.
Earnhardt's fans don't want to hear him talk, they want to see him drive and cheer him on. Even though he wasn't very good at it...haha

i really really like jeff burton in the booth. i think he's excellent.......in fact, i can't hardly think of anyone who did better than him......
Dale Jr. is really out of his element up there.......but it'll sure be tough to fire him.....oh well, maybe he'll grow into it.....mac

Benny Parsons and Ned Jarrett could 'splain things like I was 5, which I might as well have been when I first started watching NASCAR on ESPN back in the late 80's after I moved to Ft Rucker the first time. Before that, I don't think I had heard of any other driver other than Richard Petty.
