It was just to toss in a picture Azeita took for us at the wedding. That model is a 410/45 Long Colt.

It's actually quite manageable. The weight of the barrels surprisingly balances out and absorbes the recoil. Plus, it only shoots one barrel at a time, which helps. I'll tell you though - it is quite nerve racking putting your hand over the end of the barrel of that thing when it's loaded and you have to re-assemble it. No way around that, because you have to hold the nut on the end of the barrel to position it right. Eeeek! Takes some serious attention to detail and focus!

you may want to rephrase that Shotgun. the fact of the matter is, you hoped only one barrel went off but they were notorious for all goin' off immediately after the first one.....mac
