Kentucky final TV ratings
It would appear that NA$CAR is still in denial...
UPDATE: Last Saturday's NASCAR Cup Series Kentucky 400 earned a 1.3 rating and 2.3 million viewers on NBCSN, down 19% in ratings and 16% in viewership from last year (1.6, 2.7M) and down 32% and 29% respectively from 2016 (1.9, 3.2M).
Martin Truex Jr.'s win ranks as the lowest rated and least-watched edition of the race (dates back to 2011).
Head-to-head, NASCAR trailed competing Major League Baseball coverage on FOX (1.5, 2.4M).

What do you attribute that to?
I don't mind being called far right.
I have been right so far.

Summer, more things to do outside, and quite frankly NASCAR is almost "Hockeyish" when it comes to their fans. I would say a little more time and NASCAR will be a niche crowd.....

I used to watch it a little back in the days that racing was more chaotic,
with less science and strategy, but lost interest when they got into so
much money that it no longer interested me.
Other than that, life just got in the way, else I would
probably follow the sun racers and other start ups.

There was a time when I watched every race.
Later, if I missed watching a race, I would watch the highlights online.
Now, maybe I’ll catch two or three a year.
