"...to avoid conflict."
...and not start the next revolution.
Boulder police again plan to use discretion in enforcing open-carry rules during Saturday's planned "Rally for Our Rights" downtown, pointing to a possible repeat of a
similar pro-gun protest in April at which demonstrators were allowed to wield weapons in violation of the city's laws.
"The Boulder Police Department has contacted event coordinators to reiterate city open-carry laws," spokeswoman Shannon Aulabaugh said in an emailed statement Thursday. "Officers will monitor Saturday's event and allow participants to express their constitutional rights, while protecting the public safety for attendees and the community."
Boulder statutes prohibit the open carry of a firearm unless it's contained in a carrying case, which could mean a holster for handguns, or a clearly marked container for rifles.
At the first "Rally for Our Rights" in April, police chose not to arrest or cite several protesters carrying un-cased AR-15s — a move city officials said was designed "to avoid conflict."

They probably enforce it every day, except when they might
be afraid of winding up on the losing end of a gun battle.
I don't mind being called far right.
I have been right so far.

Government agents in general seem to focus better at gun point.

Where the Government fears the people, there is liberty
where the people fear the government, there is tyranny.
But, of course, some on here do not want the government
to fear the people, because government is their god.

Almost all started by Dagobert who collects a check each month from being a retired cop. He should give the checks back.

We have to keep the government in its proper lane which includes returning with interest all the money its extorted from us over our years of labor.

Don't recall mentioning the Killeen or Cove cops, and didn't certainly didn't mention
the cops where I am. Do the cops where you are behave like tyrants?
If so, then, if the shoe fits...
Else, this isn't about the cops at all, but about those who pull their strings.

Just because someone owes me money doesn't mean I should bow down to them and make them my god.
Nor do those who owe me money get a pass on bad behavior, or acting like tyrants.
