I was referring to the district that this one would play in the playoffs as opposed to the previous one that had Duncanville & DeSoto & Cedar Hill & them

2018-19 UIL District Realignments
This district is definitely tougher..Temple should be the favorites (Midway had a lot of seniors on their team this year) and Waco went 2-0 vs KISD schools last year. At least football wise. Boys Basketball I don’t think makes a difference, Temple girls are ranked in 5A right now though

Not sure..a lot of teams seemed to have a lot of their key players being seniors..obviously those guys won’t be there next year. Waco High was so-so in 5A so I don’t expect much better up in 6A. After Temple & Midway it’s anyone’s guess..I still say at least 1 KISD school gets in

I would guess Waco and Belton, possibly. How is Cove going to be, Dave?
Steven, which KISD school do you think will be the strongest?

Have no idea. Haven't followed them that close the last couple of years. But based on their record the past two years, I'd say they will again be crappy.

I don't think Waco is a given. They have been week in 5A the last few years. Midway & Temple. Then it's anyone's guess.

Gramps please look at the district Waco was in, that district was top 5 in the state of Texas with two teams competing for state titles in the last 2 years. No one other than midway beats the fourth or fifth place team in Waco’s old district.

I’d say Ellison because they had some key underclassmen play well on their playoff team..I’ve heard good things about Killeen’s young guys too though. Heights had like 2 good offensive players & they’re graduating so they’ll be a young team, which can go either way. Shoemaker was very close in most of their games last year so they’re closer than people think. I remember their head coach saying the freshman & JV teams did well so we’ll see if that converts to varsity.
