Friday games(11-10):

Harker Heights (A) (4-5, 2-3) vs Killeen (H) (4-5, 2-3)

Copperas Cove (4-5, 2-3) @ Belton (6-3, 4-1)

The scenario looks like this, Killeen is in the playoffs with a win, Heights is in with a win & Cove loss & the Dawgs are in with a win & a Killeen loss. Whoever gets that last spot gets the Division II #2 seed.

As crappy as Cove is the last few years, at least they gave Midway a close game and almost pulled it out before losing 49-45. I'll say it again - Midway has a chance to make some noise in the playoffs. All the rest of
this district's teams will most likely be one and done.

I doubt if any of the local teams can beat Midway.... I am almost surprised the score was as close as it was... I told my wife it would probably be something like 70 to 3 at the end.

Ellison has looked pretty good this year, but there are football programs and then there are dynasties. Midway comes close to the latter.

Midway is the latter. Hope they make it at least as far as the state semis this year.
