Coming down the home stretch now..
OFF: Harker Heights (4-5, 2-3)
Thursday game(11-2):
Belton (5-3, 3-1) @ Ellison (6-2, 3-1)
Friday games(11-3):
#7 Waco Midway (8-0, 4-0) @ Shoemaker (0-9, 0-5)
Killeen (3-5, 1-3) @ Copperas Cove (4-4, 2-2)

Some good and key games this week.
Belton at Ellison is THE key game. Winner has the playoffs scheduled; loser will also get in but will end up playing a much stronger team in the first round. Flip a coin, but have a feeling Ellison takes it.
Midway at Shoemaker. 
Killeen at Cove. Can see either winning it, but revenge is a strong motivator. Cove takes it and pretty well secures a playoff berth.
Playoffs coming after next week's games. Ridiculous that 4 out of the 7 teams in this district get into the playoffs.

Belton-Ellison basically is for that top spot in Division 1. I think they’re still doing that thing in the 1st round where the top seed in each division hosts the 1st round game (or can).
Midway-Shoemaker yeah I know but the Wolves do have a good secondary so it’d be interesting to see how they do against Midway’s D1 QB. Killeen’s been a thorn in the Dawgs side the past few years so we’ll see.

Belton 31 Ellison 21 F. Tigers up by 17 at halftime, Ellison played better in the 2nd half but it wasn’t enough & inexplicably punted the ball on 4th & 3 with 7 minutes left.

Belton must be better than I thought. Still, Ellison is 3-2 in district with one to play. They'll get in the playoffs.
