The alcohol preserved him, the drugs not so much.

Wikipedia lists his birthday to be April 29, is it 29 or 30th ?
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Willie Hugh Nelson (born April 29, 1933) is an American musician, singer, songwriter, author, poet, actor, and activist.[1] The critical success of the album Shotgun Willie (1973), combined with the critical and commercial success of Red Headed Stranger (1975) and Stardust (1978), made Nelson one of the most recognized artists in country music. He was one of the main figures of outlaw country, a subgenre of country music that developed in the late 1960s as a reaction to the conservative restrictions of the Nashville sound. Nelson has acted in over 30 films, co-authored several books, and has been involved in activism for the use of biofuels and the legalization of marijuana.

Actually, you got me curious so I went and pulled out a can and it is Imperial sugar cane that is used.

well, at least your's say "cane", mine don't even say that. they just say sugar and hell that could be anything from beets to corn. i'll be bringin' this batch back up to Dublin sometime this week but now i'm wonderin' if Dr. Pepper even still has that bottlin' plant up there and if not that would just be a wasted trip. Might try findin' out their ph# first and givin' them a call......or maybe I could just do the pourin' the next time the girls are down without lettin' them see the bottles and if they don't catch on then no one will be the wiser......'cept me of course but then, I'm used to that.....mac
