Tomlin's predicted demise may have come too soon. He's looked pretty good the last couple of starts.
Now that Trevor Bauer is a different story. At times Bauer appears unhittable, then gets the dumb a$$ or
loses concentration and suddenly it's 3-0. Kluber went on the DL and they brought up Mike Clevinger from
AAA to replace him. All he did was throw one hit ball for 5-1/3 innings. And the bullpen has been lights out.
They'll need to continue as they have, because the batting averages have plummeted faster than Hillary's
presidential campaign bid.

Hope you can figure it out, because I sure can't. They lose more at home, against mediocre teams, and then go on the road
and sweep the Astros, the team with baseball's best record. Now they go to Cincinnati for 2 before going home and playing 2
against the Reds at Progressive Field. Oh oh, another mediocre team so we'll be lucky if they split those 4 games.
It is maddening. Kluber is making a rehab start and hope he's good to go. Carrasco hopefully comes back from that pectoral strain.
Salazar is trying to lead the league in K's, but think he will end up leading the league in HRs given up. Bauer looked good against the
Astros, but with him he usually does but has one terrible inning which is his undoing. With Tomlin you get a good game one time, a
truly crappy one the next.
Encarnacion and Santana both can't even hit their weight. Their batting averages are a joke. These are your power hitters, and between
them are batting around .200 (Encarnacion) and .225 for Santana. A total of 10 HRs and maybe 25 RBIs. Kipnis is starting to get his
rythmn back, but at the same time Lindor and Ramirez are slumping. Chisenhall has been a nice surprise and hopefully Gomes' stroke
has returned. He sure looked good this weekend.
If it wasn't for the bullpen (arguably the best in baseball) this team would be 10 games under .500.
We're all waiting for the Twins to collapse. Doesn't look like that is going to happen anytime soon. Could be an interesting year.

Big update:
Encarnacion has caught fire and now has 16 homers. His average is now up to .261 - drove in all five runs today as the Tribe swept the Twins in a 4 game series and back into first place by 2 games.
Ramirez continues his torred streak of the last 3 weeks and is now hitting .313.
Santana continues to slump and is now down to .219. Trade bait?
The bullpen has been overused and hasn't looked like supermen the past 3 weeks, but this weekend they looked good. Miller moved to closer. Kluber and Carrasco appear to have gotten their rythmn
back. Salazar is now on the DL. Bauer has even looked good the last 3 times out.

I watched the Tribe blow the Orioles out last night on Yahoo Sports MLB Game of the Day link.
That was a massacre. Kipnis blasted a HR out of the ball park. Santana came to life. If he keeps it up then the Tribe should roll.
Kluber tossed a complete game, 3 hit shutout. He's definitely back to form. Ramirez had 3 more hits - 2 doubles and a triple.
Only Lindor failed to hit. The kid is in a major slump. Hope he comes out of it soon. The Tribe is now 2.5 games in first and won their 6th in a row, now at 37-31.
It was almost one year ago to the day when they went on their 14 game win streak.
And all of this has happened with Michael Brantley being gone - first for a paternity leave and now on the DL.

Lindor might be breaking out of his slump. Doubled last night, homered already tonight.

His boneheaded move on Tuesday - getting picked off of second base - cost us a run and the game. Sure he doubled home two RBIs after that but still........
Good game by Carrasco last night. Hope Clevinger keeps it going tonight.

Clevinger got lucky last night - 6IP, two hit batters, a few hits and 4 walks yet only gave up 2 runs.
Twins come to Cleveland for a three game set starting tonight. Time to put the Twins to bed for the
season and sweep them.

Just as they start looking to get into a rhythm, they drop two to Minnesota.
I have a ticket for Wednesday, Tuesday's game may be a possibility too.
