    I played against Tatum in high school. He played fullback on offense and linebacker on defense.

    Played against his team - Passaic, NJ high school - in 1966. Was the only game we lost that year, and we beat the #7 ranked team in the state that year.
    Tatum scored a TD. It was their defense that was so tough. We lost 13-8. I vividly remember one play where they ran the ball (not Tatum) and our guy
    leveled the ball carrier near the sideline. The kid didn't like it, came up swinging and shoved our linebacker. He shoved back. Was on the opposite side of
    the field from where our bench was. Then Tatum came in and broke it up (along with the refs - lol). After the game we all shook hands. Talked to him for
    a minute because it was already well known Woody Hayes and Ohio State was heavily recruiting him and I am from Ohio. I "suggested" he go to Ohio State.
    Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.
