Had the rotator cuff surgery about 6 years ago, and it was very painful. Only my double hernia operation was worse.
Likewise they cut clavicle bones to relieve some of the problem. It lasted until about a year ago and started all over again... On the left side again.
This time, I did the PT and it seems to work so far. But as we age, doing any sort of physical exercise gets more difficult. A lot of it is just making up your mind to do it, and then get off your duff and do it. At least for me anyhow.
I have learned something when I turned 65... If it still works, it probably hurts. And you start hurting in places that you used didn't used to have.
