As we used to say on the school ground, "It takes one to know one."
"A boy cannot become a girl and a man cannot become a woman, not even if he shuts his eyes and wishes really hard."

Yes, I do have a lot of trouble with that particular trait.

Although the idea of abstinence is a great one, in today's day and age it isn't realistic..

Why ask me about sin. I don't remember having said anything about sin in my posting. At any rate, disobedience/disrespect of God is sin, Jesus Christ himself said that not all sins are equal. He said that some sins are deadly (moral) such as blasphemy against the Holy Spirit and thus some are not so. It depends on the seriousness of the act, or the failure to act when one ought to act, and the level of knowledge and free will of the actor. I, too, am a sinner. Judgment is not in my purview but is reserved to God alone.
and it was the Christ himself who told Caesar that Judas was guilty of a "greater sin".......mac

Because, if you read the opening post, that horse has already left the barn.
We are not only products of our age and society as a whole, but of our individual position in that age and society (our individual time and place, or circumstances, if you will). That is why, while you will hear me attack the political position of the LBGT movement (and its members), I don't ever attack any particular one of them for their "personal sexual choices."

While I agree with the premise, I don't remember The Christ saying that.

Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin (John 19:11, KJV).

Additionally, two categories of sin are explicitly to be found in the Holy Bible. In the Hebrew Scriptures (Old Testament) there were sins that merited the death penalty and sins that could be expiated by an offering. This Law was a teacher that prepared the way for the faith (Gal. 3:24). In the Christian Scriptures (New Testament) these material categories are replaced by spiritual ones, natural death by eternal death. There are thus daily faults for which we must daily ask forgiveness (Mt. 6:12), for even the "just man falls seven times a day" (Prov. 24:16), and deadly faults that completely separate the actor from God (1 Cor. 6:9-10) for all eternity unless the actor repents.
"A boy cannot become a girl and a man cannot become a woman, not even if he shuts his eyes and wishes really hard."
