Skunk
Opened my front door yesterday morning as I always do to let fresh air into the house.
About 75 feet away, directly across the street, I noticed a large black and white animal. Figured it was another feral cat from the woods
behind the house. Lately I have noticed these feral cats have been very scarce around here.
The more I stared the more I realized it was one large skunk. This one was huge for a skunk and marked oddly - large, wide white stripe
down its back and the tail was all white.
After a while of poking around a mound of a bunch of grass clippings the neighbor across the street uses, and 3 one month old fawns
curiously checking it out, he slowly walked away and appeared to go under a shed in the neighbor's back yard.
Question - how do you get rid of it?

Not quite what I had in mind.
Might work for any Muslims in the neighborhood though.

Dig a big hole in the ground, then burn some paper in it until it turns to ashes. The line the hole with peas...
When the skunk comes up to take a pea, kick him in the ash hole.

The main thing that worries me is that skunks are mostly nocturnal, yet I saw this thing about
7:30AM. Skunks are known to be a prime carrier of rabies.

That early in the AM isn't unusual for skunks. Anything after 9 is a warning sign that something isn't right.
since its across the street a 22 round from the garage would end the problem. Stay deep in the garage to dampen the bang. Good hunting.
