I am picking Clemson and locking that answer in. Alabama was only really good about 1/2 this season.
While I'm sure many are tired of Bama winning the national championship all the time and want Clemson to win, let's examine the facts:
    1. Clemson beat Notre Dame, at Clemson, 24-22, and only when the Irish's 2 point attempt at the end of the game was no good.
    Ohio State destroyed Notre Dame.
    2. Clemson beat Louisville 20-17.
    3. Clemson beat Florida State 23-13. Houston destroyed FSU in the bowl game.
    4. Clemson beat North Carolina 45-37. Baylor kicked the crap out of UNC in the bowl game.
The ACC is not a powerful conference; the SEC West is.
    Therefore, your prediction downright sucks.

I stand by it. Besides I locked it in, lol.

That gutsy, and excellent, on-sides kick changed the game. Also a couple of missed tackles, which would have been for a loss if made.
Clemson played them tougher than I expected. Their QB is definitely the real deal. Had 478 yards of total offense last night.
Was a good game and now we wait another miserable 9 months for it to begin again.

A very competitive game. Worthy of a national championship game.

That Alabama TE looked REALLY good and would look even better with a silver & blue star on his helmet as he waits in the wings to replace Witten when he finally hangs up his cleats! I agree with you Dave, that Clemson QB was even better than advertised...I'm sure his draft stock went up quite a bit (even though he's only a Sophomore...YIKES!!!)

Sure would like in a Cowboys uniform. Both of them would. Word has it that Witten has slowed down even further - much slower and he'll be running backwards.
